Dr. Kevin Cooper, Assistant Superintendent- Business Operations

A wonderful sense of pride and accomplishment permeates the Webb City School District. I continue to be honored by the trust and confidence that has been placed in our highly motivated team of administrators, teachers, and staff members. The positive and supportive culture throughout our district encourages initiative, innovation, and collaboration. Our students are being well prepared for the challenges they will face in the future!
The Webb City community has a long history of support of public education, and together, we are embracing the many exciting educational opportunities and strategies available to us. This strong sense of community enables us to work collaboratively to offer a top-notch educational experience for our students. We are continually moving forward, always looking for ways to make the academic experience for each student as rich as possible. Currently, I'm excited about several projects that will positively impact our students and the community. We have taken several steps to improve the district's technology tools enhancing document sharing for teachers and staff, giving everyone easier access to the ever changing technology in today's world. We're also thrilled about the district being the beneficiary of seven FEMA buildings which will give our students and the community a safer and expanded campus. These enhancements offer a new vision for education and improved resources to undertake the re-creation of our campus.

In my position, I oversee the Maintenance Department. I'd like to mention our school system has a reputation for having some of the cleanest, most well-maintained schools in the area! I want to thank our custodial and maintenance staff for thoroughly cleaning our buildings... they take great pride in their work. In addition, I also superintend the Transportation Department, which does an outstanding job of keeping our students safe by providing them with superior transportation to and from school.

I have seen the educational landscape change in many ways over the years and one important factor remains unchanged: our success is measured by the experience each student has in the school environment. We are committed to assisting each inpidual student to meet his or her academic and social needs. We are humbled and grateful when we succeed, and realize we can never be complacent because of the important trust the community places in us. Communication is very important to us, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve the flow of school information among parents, teachers, students, and community members. We hope our district website, as well as the inpidual school and teacher sites, will serve as rich resource areas for all members of the community.

I want to thank you for your ever-present support. Strong school and home partnerships create excellent school systems. We will settle for nothing less than excellence and I look forward to continuing to work with you and our staff to bring continuous improvement to Webb City Schools!
