At Franklin Early Childhood Center, we have two programs:

Parents as Teachers is a parent education and family support program
designed to help all parents give their children the best possible start in life. We provide families with information on childdevelopment, prenatal through kindergarten entry. During home visits, we involve parents in learning activities with their child that encourage language and intellectual growth, physical and social-emotional skills. Our program is free, voluntary, and offers the following: personal home visits, family connection events with child-parent activities or
speakers, newsletters, developmental screenings, and resource connections with other agencies. We strive to enroll all Webb City families with children ages 0-5.

Our MOA AccreditedDay Care offers child care to children, ages birth-5, of Webb City students and staff, enabling teens to continue their education. We work closely with the young parents to promote their knowledge of child development and encourage good parenting skills. Parents as Teachers also provides services to our teen parents for the welfare of the whole family.

This school year, Title 1, Tuition based, and Early Childhood
Integrated Special Education Preschool are located at Bess Truman Primary Center, Carterville Elementary School, Franklin Early Childhood Center, and Madge T. James Kindergarten Center.

Our preschool programs, taught by early childhood certified teachers,
provide children with early childhood curriculum and early intervention
strategies to promote school readiness. Children may enroll after
Parents as Teachers screenings and/or agency referral. Our curriculum
encourages the development of motor, language, cognitive, and social
skills to prepare children for kindergarten.

All early childhood programs work closely with each other and the

community to provide education and early intervention opportunities

for children and their families in order to promote successful school

experiences and connections.
