Mr. Robert E. Hickam

He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War

After the war, began employment with the FBI as a special agent, a career spanning 25 years, serving in California, Arkansas, and Missouri, and received numerous commendations from J. Edgar Hoover for his work

While in Arkansas, his work included active involvement in the Little Rock Central High School desegregation conflict

Also involved in the direct investigation of many organized crime personalities who frequented Hot Spring, Arkansas

Served as an FBI instructor teaching hundreds of federal, state and local law officers in firearms, defense tactics and arrest procedures

He was an excellent marksman

Following retirement, he became a security consultant for 13 years, primarily for Eagle Picher in Missouri and Oklahoma

While in High School, he lettered in four sports

Among his favorite achievements was a 331-yard hole in one on the 8th hole at Schifferdecker Golf Course
