PTO

  • PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization.

Carterville Elementary’s PTO meets monthly, typically on the first Thursday of the month. If you would like to be more involved at the school, we would love for you to come to a PTO meeting or reach out to one of the officers.

    PTO Officers:

    Rosie Swaffar-President
    Megan White-Vice President
    Erin Taylor-Treasurer
    Rachel Barnett-Secretary

There are many ways to be involved with PTO. Here are some of the events hosted by the PTO:

    1. Monthly PTO Meetings
    2. School Carnival, typically during the Spring semester
    3. Teacher Appreciation Lunch, typically during the month of May
    4. Popcorn Fridays once a month
    5. Field Day, typically during the last few weeks of school in May
    6. Class Parties for holidays or other special occasions
    7. School Book Fairs, typically twice a year, once in the fall and once in the Spring

Even if you're not able to help during the school day, there are still many ways to be involved!

A Letter from PTO President, Rosie Swaffar:

    Parents/Grandparents/Guardians,

I am thrilled that you have an interest in our PTO here at Carterville. There are many ways to help us even if you cannot come to all the events during the day or the meetings after school. I am very excited to meet you and to see what our team can accomplish this year.

    Rosie Swaffar
    PTO President
