    Spiva Art Center

    Our students will travel to Spiva Art Center in Joplin on Tuesday and Wednesday.  They will experience the work of Patty Carroll, a Kansas City and Chicago based photographer.

                       Please note lunch times will be changed on these two days.


    Parent teacher conferences will be held February 10 and 11 from 3:15-7:00 p.m. These conferences are STUDENT LED. Please indicate your first three choices of conference days and times:

    PTO Meeting

    Our next PTO meeting will be Tuesday, January 21 at 5:30 p.m.  We will plan the Valentine's Day room parties. Hope to see you there!

  • The Great Kindness Challenge

    Mark Twain particpates in the annual Great Kindness Challenge.  We challenge you to perform as many kind acts as you can in one week.  Use the checklist and check off your acts of kindness as you go.  Have fun!

    Smile at 25 people

    Slip a nice note in your friend's backpack

    Give 5 people a compliment

    Pick up 10 pieces of trash at school

    Say hi to someone you don't know

    Tell a kind joke and make someone laugh

    Be kind to yourself  - eat a healthy snack

    Learn something new about your teacher

    Draw a picture and give it to someone

    Help a younger student

    Give a kind handshake to a classmate

    Recycle your trash

    Help another student who is struggling

    Pick up trash outside your school

    Cut out 10 hearts - give them to friends

    Entertain someone with a happy dance

    Make a kind poster for cafeteria helpers

    Get some form of exercise

    Say good morning to 15 people

    Design a thank you for parent helpers

    Make a wish for kids in other countries

    Say thank you to the door greeters

    Invite a new friend to hang out with you

    Clean your desk without being asked

    Write the custodian a note saying how great things look

    Report cards went home today.  Please feel free to contact your child's teacher with questions or suggestions.


    The third quarter AR party will be a sock hop. Please encourage your child to read a few minutes each evening!
